Happy Hollow...

Grandma and Grandpa took Caden and I to
Happy Hollow on Wednesday.
It was so nice to get out of house.
We got to see some animals in the mini zoo.
Caden's favorite was the squirrel monkey.

I couldn't wait to see how he would do on the rides.
I would show him first what the ride did and then
asked him if he wanted to ride it.
He always shook his head yes.
It seemed like the carousel made him tired.
He loved the firetruck/police car ride.
He got mad at me for taking him off when the ride was done.
The we put him on the Lady bug ride...
It made us laugh to watch him on it.
He just sat there looking kind of bored.
He told Grandma after that it goes around and up and down.
Caden's vocabulary blows my mind!!
He is such a quick learner.
I can't wait to till he gets older and we can go on bigger rides.
Caden has a bad habit of finding any opportunity to
break away and run. And he is fast!!!
I had to holler at a couple, "Break away child!!"
They laughed, but it scares me that he might hurt himself.
He thinks that it is so funny.
I am thinking about investing in a backpack leash.

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa...
A pic of Caden laughing at grandma playing with his toes...

He was out on the way home...
 We had so much fun!!

Until tomorrow,

Easter 2010...

I finally downloaded pics from Easter 2010.
It was a family affair with the "Gamma", "Gampa",
Maka Paka,(a nickname we made up for my brother,)
Mommy and Daddy.
I was so excited for Easter!!
It is one of my favorite Holidays.
I made a banner with kissing bunnies.
I wasn't done decorating,
but here is a bigger pic of the banner I made.
I made a template and cut them out
with different patterned paper.
Sadly, I never took a pic of the finished table.
My menu consisted of:
-Eberskeivers (stuffed round pancakes)
-Grilled Asparagus Fritata
-Steamed garlic stuffed artichokes
-Biscuts and gravy w/sausage and bacon
The fritata was my favorite.

We were going to have the Easter egg hunt outside,
but it rained : (
We made do in my living room.
I had practiced finding eggs a few days prior,
so he would understand the game.
He did a really good job finding the eggs.
It was so fun just to watch him...
After he found all the eggs,
He got his Easter gifts...
Grandma and Grandpa got Caden
a wagon full of cars, blocks, books and a singing bunny.
The Easter bunny : ) brought him
a basket full of color crayons, coloring book,
bubbles, books, dancing bunny and eggs with treats.
I LOVE making baskets!!!

He seemed to have fun.
I can't wait for next year.
This is a great pic of Caden and Grandma...

Helicopters and ducks...

I am not going to lie,
I have been feeling a little down lately,
so we went out Sunday for a little outing to San Carlos.
There is a helicopter you can sit in and
a small airport you can watch the planes.
He loved watching the planes take off in front of us.
He already knows "take off" and "landing."
He loves his airplanes.
Caden was so excited to fly the helicopter...
Mommy and Caden...
 Daddy and Caden...
We live by a hospital,
so we always hear the helicopter go over our house.
Caden will ask, "Do you hear that?"
Then he will run out to the window to see it fly over.
When I told him that he was going
to fly a helicopter, he was so excited!
He asked if he can fly a plane, too : )
He hasn't stopped talking about it since.
And the best part...it was FREE!!

After, we took him to a pond where I used to live.
The pond has ducks and geese.
It is in an apt complex,
so it was quiet and we were the only ones.
There was even little ducklings!!!
The cutest ever!! I mean ever!!
It was just what I needed to get outside.
Can't wait to take him back.

Some videos for your enjoyment...

Father's day, a tribute to Marc...

I know this is late, but I still wanted to share...

"Any man can be a father.
It takes someone special to be a dad."
Marc is a great Dad!!
He is always helping me in anyway way he can.
He will come over to watch Caden to give me a break,
wash the dishes, pick up Caden's toys and
run me a hot bath to relax.

He wants the very best for Caden,
like eating organic foods and saving for college.
I would even say that Marc
is more protective than I am : )
When Caden and Daddy are hanging out
they are usually watching the Lakers game and
Tiger Woods playing golf.
They go for walks outside and sing songs
like the "There's a party in my tummy."-Yo Gabba Gabba

I love watching Caden and Marc together.
Caden really looks up to his Daddy
and brings out the silly in Marc : )

He is the greatest Daddy!!
Even though are situation isn't ideal,
we try and make the best of it.

This is one of my favorite pics of  Caden
when he was just two weeks old.
The boys after Marc's hockey game at the rink.

On Father's day, I made Marc a filet mignon for dinner.
It came out great!! My first time making one.
Then Marc opened gifts.
He got an iScan Trunking scanner,
to listen to police, track control towers, etc.

Then I got him a baby's first Stanford book.
It is really cute.
It has the sports, alma mater,
mascot and history of Stanford.
Since Marc went to Stanford and he is an alumni,
we would love for Caden to go as well.
Only if he wants to go, of course : )
In the back of the book there
is a place to put a picture of  Caden, to look
like he has graduated from Stanford.
See the video...

Until tomorrow...

Outside play...

I finally got Caden's sand table up on the patio.
He loves to put the sand in the water.
I think we ended up with more sand on the patio
then in the sand table.
Watching him play is entertaining.
He is SO INTENSE!
I think he gets that from his Dad,
very focused.
You can almost see the gears working in his head,
just observing and taking everything in.
Notice my corn growing in the background! : )
With such intensity!

This sand table is great!! Kept him busy while I
cleaned up the patio.

All cracked up...

A couple days ago,
Caden was cracking himself up
making funny sounds with his lips.
It made for a cute picture moment...

He is growing up so fast...
Caden has filled up my life with sunshine!!
He is so much fun to be around.
A typical day will be dancing to Yo Gabba Gabba,
cooking (he loves to cook in his kitchen when I cook,)
playing airplanes, calling everything "geen" (green,)
and chasing Caden around the house
on my hands and knees.
Oh, and lots of tickles.

Until tomorrow,
