Mommy's birthday...

I had a great birthday!!
I really felt the love this year : )
Many birthday blessings from friends and family.

Caden and I had a date in Half Moon bay.
We went to Lemos Farm to tie up
some loose ends for Caden's birthday.
That is where we encountered the spooky train ride.
I tried to get soem photos of him while
we were waiting for the train ride to start.
He hated the camera and will never look at me...
I had no clue that the choo-choo ride
was going to be really scary.
Caden just burried his face in my lap and
I tried to point out the less scary things.

We met Marc at home to eat and open presents.
He really went out of his way
to make it a special day for me : )
He made me a basket with gifts in it...
Then in I opened the card,
it had an airline ticket in it for Utah.
I have been dying to go back!!
I am sooooo excited!!
My birthday cake was from Icing on the Cake.
Banana cake with cream cheese frosting.
It was heaven!! Probably the best cake I have ever had.
The very next day, my mom watched Caden,
so Marc and I could have some adult time.
He took me to Olive Garden before
we went to the Dave Matthews Band concert.
As usual, they were amazing!

Thank you everyone for a great birthday!!
My birthday wish for this coming year is
to cherish each moment.

Until tomorrow,

Under the sea...

Marc and I took Caden to Monterey Bay Aquarium.
We went during the week, so it wouldn't be that busy.
Marc also got us memberships!!
So now we can go whenever we want : )

It was so fun to watch Caden see all the "big fish."
Daddy has a fish aquarium at home with fish and frogs.
Caden loves to sit and watch the fish.

The aquarium was amazing!!
We didn't get to see everything, so we will have to go back : )
SKORKA!!!! (from Penquins of Madagascar.)

Turtle, turtle, turtle...
I think the turtle thought my finger was a worm.
Daddy helping Caden see the sea lions...

Family moment...

Daddy tried to get Caden to touch
the starfish and kelp at the touch pool...
I think the water was too cold...

Caden was mesmerized by the "Outter Bay" exhibit:
Here is the "Kelp Forest"...
I loved the sardines...
This was beautiful. This exhibit was packed with photographers.
Here is what I got with my "cool pix" camera...
We had a great time. Tons to do for all ages.
I think Caden and I are going to have
to go back on my birthday friday
for a Mommy Caden date : )
Here are some other pics I took...

Until tomorrow,

Life is a beach...

Today, Kat, Caden and I went to Half Moon Bay.
It was overcast and chilly.
First, we took Kat to eat at
Sam's Chowder House for her belated b-day.
It was over rated!! Too pricey for ok food.
Caden had fun playing with Kat at the table...
Pics outside the restaurant...
Then we went over to the Lemos farm to look
at the spot to have Caden's 2nd b-day.
It was really cute!!
Tons of stuff for kids to do.
They had tons of little photos ops.
Here is one of Caden in the jail.
I want one for my home for time outs...

This is the area I put a deposit on...

Then it was to the beach!!
I was the second time Caden had been to a beach.
He was too young to remember the first time.

At first he just stood there and observed everything.
Then he ran for the water.
We tried to get him to put his feet in,
but he wasn't having any of that.
He liked just running along the beach...
OOOhhh...and the water was COLD...
But beautiful as always...

Happy belated birthday, Kat!!

Happy Hollow...

Grandma and Grandpa took Caden and I to
Happy Hollow on Wednesday.
It was so nice to get out of house.
We got to see some animals in the mini zoo.
Caden's favorite was the squirrel monkey.

I couldn't wait to see how he would do on the rides.
I would show him first what the ride did and then
asked him if he wanted to ride it.
He always shook his head yes.
It seemed like the carousel made him tired.
He loved the firetruck/police car ride.
He got mad at me for taking him off when the ride was done.
The we put him on the Lady bug ride...
It made us laugh to watch him on it.
He just sat there looking kind of bored.
He told Grandma after that it goes around and up and down.
Caden's vocabulary blows my mind!!
He is such a quick learner.
I can't wait to till he gets older and we can go on bigger rides.
Caden has a bad habit of finding any opportunity to
break away and run. And he is fast!!!
I had to holler at a couple, "Break away child!!"
They laughed, but it scares me that he might hurt himself.
He thinks that it is so funny.
I am thinking about investing in a backpack leash.

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa...
A pic of Caden laughing at grandma playing with his toes...

He was out on the way home...
 We had so much fun!!

Easter 2010...

I finally downloaded pics from Easter 2010.
It was a family affair with the "Gamma", "Gampa",
Maka Paka,(a nickname we made up for my brother,)
Mommy and Daddy.
I was so excited for Easter!!
It is one of my favorite Holidays.
I made a banner with kissing bunnies.
I wasn't done decorating,
but here is a bigger pic of the banner I made.
I made a template and cut them out
with different patterned paper.
Sadly, I never took a pic of the finished table.
My menu consisted of:
-Eberskeivers (stuffed round pancakes)
-Grilled Asparagus Fritata
-Steamed garlic stuffed artichokes
-Biscuts and gravy w/sausage and bacon
The fritata was my favorite.

We were going to have the Easter egg hunt outside,
but it rained : (
We made do in my living room.
I had practiced finding eggs a few days prior,
so he would understand the game.
He did a really good job finding the eggs.
It was so fun just to watch him...
After he found all the eggs,
He got his Easter gifts...
Grandma and Grandpa got Caden
a wagon full of cars, blocks, books and a singing bunny.
The Easter bunny : ) brought him
a basket full of color crayons, coloring book,
bubbles, books, dancing bunny and eggs with treats.
I LOVE making baskets!!!

He seemed to have fun.
I can't wait for next year.
This is a great pic of Caden and Grandma...

Hippity hop,
